As an intern, I gained valuable experience in the Editorial Department learning about the functions necessary to produce a monthly magazine. I reached out to contacts, conducted research, fact-checked, and wrote copy for print materials.

Dining Out
For “Dining Out,” the magazine’s list of recommended restaurants published in the print edition of every issue, I fact-checked to get all information up to date. I updated the descriptions, including hours and menu items, and made sure each blurb was approximately the same length.

Halloween Treats
I wrote a roundup article of sweetshops around the county that offer unique Halloween-themed treats. A blurb summarizing the piece is published in the October 2025 print edition of Westchester Magazine.

Using local government websites and old digitized newspapers, I compiled information on historical events in Westchester. These snippets will be used in different issues of the magazine.
